The Present Patriarch is His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople, New Rome and Oecumenical Patriarch.

Under the patronage of the Holy Apostle  and First-called, Andrew, the Patriarchate holds a position of honour among the various independent Orthodox Churches as well as having directly under its care and protection many exarchates throughout the world.
